Due to considerable in-house expertise in manganese chemistry, Erachem Comilog has been able to develop all kinds of manganese oxides to support various speciality chemistries (primary and rechargeable) and segments of the battery market :  

-         BioG and NMD for ZnC batteries

-         EMD for alkaline batteries

-         High grade MnO2 for lithium primary batteries

-         LiMn204 for rechargeable batteries  

These technical developments are often the result of close working relationships with customers who have unique product requirements.  

Manganese dioxide is the critical component of the battery cathode mix in today's alkaline dry cells. Improved cell performance relies on improvements in the electrolytic manganese dioxide (EMD).

Specifically designed for high performance alkaline dry cell batteries, Erachem Comilog's EMD is a high activity gamma MnO2 with excellent particle size distribution, electrochemical properties, and low metallic impurities, especially heavy metals.

High rate discharge applications have taken alkaline battery designs to a new level. Our EMD is well suited for use in these batteries designed to meet these more demanding performance requirements.  

Erachem Comilog's lithiated manganese oxides are tailored to meet the growing needs of Li-ion rechargeable batteries. We have flexible production capabilities allowing us to work intimately with our customers from the concept, thru piloting trials, to ultimately developing a sound supplier partnership.
